Cooking up love

the phone is ringing and i hear the song"love love me do"..its G calling me. In the middle of cleaning the chicken for dinner i rush to pick up the phone.

G:baby are you home?

me: yes baby..came home half an hour back, making butter chicken tonight :)

G: woowww...kintu baby amaar khide peche ekhon(but baby i am hungry now)

me: how much time will you take to get home?

G: stuck in traffic at the flyover, should be home in 20 minutes.

me:oh thik hai( okay) i will egg cutlest for you

G:yummyy..oki wiat i will come and cook it..you just get the things ready

me:oki baby,i will keep the stuff ready, you acn make it when you reach home

G:ya ya i will make it..you dont stress out yourself with so much of cooking after work

"i smile and say My God what did i do that i have him in my life"

me: Oki come soon and drive safe.

G:Bye

As i keep the phone i see its 7:10PM, so i plan things while i move around. Let the chicken thaw till he comes ,meanwhile i need to boil the eggs and potatoes and chop the onions and tomatoes. While i fry the vegetables i will marinate the chicken to let it rest for 1 hour before i cook the butter masala.

its 7:30 and the egg cutlets are ready,(yes ready as in cooked and ready to be served with some ketchup and thousand island dressing) while the chicken has been marinated and kept aside

7:40PM the bell rings and a very tired husband enters the house and says" khide peche" (i am hungry) and as he takes off his shoes at the couch i bring in the plate of cutlets and tea.

G:Ohhh you made it !

me: :) yes baby

As i see him biting into the food and looking guiltly at me, i realaise, once again

marriage is about giving without being asked to..and that smile on the hungry face is what can take off all your aches

People start complaining once they get married about how their partners have changed. But your different. From your talks, I feel you are the kind of girl who accepts everything readily. Your husband's really lucky I guess. And I think your lucky to have a guy who cooks :)
Say Hi to him from my side.
I really look upon to your couple. I hope you always remain happy.
Take Care !!
