A new hand to hold-our daughter !!

What started out four years back as a first meeting, a conversation over tea and a decision of a lifetime has given us the most beautiful miracle of life and love..our daughter Shreyoshi.
S made her very dramatic and unplanned entry on the 08th of August , and as predicted is quiet a charmer like her mommy. For what seemed like an eternity to mommy and daddy, S took her own sweet time to say hello to us but her frst cry, was probably the most beautiful sound mommy and daddy have ever heard. Knowing daddy, she turned on her charms immidiaitely to ensure daddy is wrapped around her tiny fingers and mommy was left thinking..like Ma like daughter.

So what has changed over the last 2 months ?Let me assure you having a child is life's purest pleasure, and i know this is such an often quoted statement, but for someone who thought chocolate and apple flavored vodka was purest pleasure, its been a paradigm shift. Also thinking on the same lines is G who fantacised about beer and salmon on a sea beach, is now seen day dreaming about S's first vacation in Goa. We wake up every morning and the sun shines right between us, with her toothless smiles and gurgles. Daddy and mommy look like zombies with loss of sleep , but somehow get the best feeling when S's coo's straight into our heart. Its amazing how babies sleep between their parents but their love grows manyfold. All this while i used to think love is all about splitting the last slice of pizza , but now its all about gazing into her eyes.

We sleep for 2 hours and then this little pink alarm goes off in between us, and its the same routine, feed, sing a song, burp, put to sleep, nappy change and then again put to sleep. We had no clue that a tiny little wail would shake us out of our deepest slumber. Early mornings of course its daddys turn to play a little with her before his hectic day begins. S has already bonded so well with daddy that she writes him a mail once every week, sending new pictures of her manicured hands or well brushed hair or just a plain picture of her toothless smile.Though most mornings we wake up sleep deprived, our day could never have a brighter and happier start.
and oh did i tell you guys about her alarm system, well it wakes her up at exactly the time daddy gets back from office and she knows its time to take her out for a spin. And what begins with eyes wide open to see the lights all around, ends up with eyes tight shut and S in a  deep slumber.

Yes we do miss the indipendence we had before she came, the wild decisions, the unplanned dinners, the bumpy road driven on, the late night movies..and of course we need to take our daughters approval before we set out for an hour for a coffee date at the nearby deli. She manages to keep her dadu didu super busy while we are away  !!

Someday i am sure S will be reading my posts and wondering, what all she had been upto and how many sleepless nights we had, how many gorgeous sunshines we have seen but one thing is certain, she is the best gift mommy daddy have ever received from God. We wanted her even before she was conceived, and we loved her with our whole heart while she was playing inside my tummy. Having practiced her kicks and punches inside me for so many months, holding her in our hands is the closest we feel to God. She is a piece of my heart, she is her daddy's most beautiful desire and we love you so so much.
