Some tricks of the man i am married to !!

I have had the absolute joy of sharing my life, my thoughts, my kitchen secrets, marriage secrets, secrets which no longer qualify as secrets, with a lot of you and believe me when i read your comments nothing can bring me more happiness(except maybe a hot chicken croissant and coffee)

so i was thinking, why not share the other side of my life, you know the part where i cry and sulk, the part where i bang the fridge door and dont care about my calorie intake at all. Yes the dirty part where G becomes a nightmare to deal with.

Over time this blog has been like a diary where i love writing down everything about us, our little world, our beautiful home, my 4 door wardrobe, the porcelain bathroom tiles and the soft persian rug in the living room.

Hold on, did i just say beautiful home?? on an average i spend 20 minutes EVERYDAY tidying up the kitchen counter after dinner. Dinner is usually cooked with a 6 foot man hovering behind me , looking for an opportunity to eat the scrambled eggs from the pan, just one second to pick up 3 paneer cubes as i fry them and keep them aside for the Palak Paneer. This man who makes it a point to leave the ice tray empty after his weekend use of ice cubes with the Jack Daniels. The man who makes it a point to keep the microwave on, after heating the tea(yes i make tea in the morning which he has after an hour). G never fails to surprise me with his innovative ways of storing food in the fridge, since sometimes i see the frying pan in the fridge shelves along with the small pressure cooker , in which i had cooked the daal.(its all done with the purpose of helping me, mind you)

Talking of my second love, my wardrobe, which had been a subject of conflict ever since it was gifted for our anniversary. The six foot man i am married to thinks i should give him some place for his ties, socks and mufflers in my cupboard. Not to forget, its understood if i have 4 doors and he has only 3, the extra one is the reason for conflict. So amid my scarves and stoles, there are glimpses of blue silk ties and white mufflers. Off course, since i have a separate place for my bags, his Louis Vuitton also goes there.

G and i share a lot of things, guess thats how we spend so much time with eachother without ever needing a third person. we like the same kind of food and the same bathroom, yes since we have the special porcelain tiles in the master bedroom , the 6 foot man makes it a point to keep his shaving foam, the razor, the funny looking gadget called trimmer, along with his Brut and after shave bottles, right next to my chocolate souffle body lotion. Some men i tell you are just not satisfied with their place in the wife's life, they want a share of the basin counter too. Of course no body appreciates, i agreed on a dark brown shower curtain, so he does not have to suffocate in the shower area seeing a bright pink shower curtain( and then people say, no sacrifice goes un noticed)

And oh the beautiful Persian rug in the living room , the same on which i do my early morning Yoga watching TV, has stains on the edges, because somebody i am married to, forgets there is a rug on the floor and walks all over it as he volunteers to open the door as we return from our weekend shopping. Why only this one, the pink rug in the bedroom with the satin cushions are usually found scattered around the room , in the morning as the man fumbles to the loo at night.

So, since most of you have been thinking how blessed i am and what a wonderful angel i have to spend my life with, i think its my moral obligation to give you a glimpse of the devils horn, behind that innocent face that has left a mark on my left ventricle for a lifetime.

I am sooo happy you are having a happy and loving life. When you are cooking he is standing behind you to sample the food? How romantic! If he likes the sampling what did he do? I did the same thing to my wife.

Ha ha ha..i totally relate. Im tired of training my 6 footer to live like a human being...but no...nothing has changed...He still leaves the wet towel on the rug/bed in the bedroom, still drops his clothes all over the house...his wardrobe is a mess..i have given up on it...i swear its like a hurricane hit it!! the list is endless...lets just continue to live in bliss :)

First of all. Completely love the Blog because you call your husband G. I called my boyfriend G too on my Blog. Still do, just that we have broken up now.

LOL at yours situation. But is it not fun too. It is small things like these that make a couple so much more closer. And I am sure, secretly you enjoy it too. ;)

Kisses.

“6 foot man!!!”---Was that a compliment orrrrr ??? (0_o).
Pleaaaseeee don’t say it’s a comment ;)
One thing I observed from this post is that you are a very big hearted person who can adjust well with such things. He is in fact very lucky to have you as his life partner ;)
When you are content to spend your time with each other, then I guess you don’t like the third and you are absolutely right in thinking that way.
BTW I’m looking forward to read a post on how you get angry on him in those circumstances and how he manages to “patao” the queen :D

OMG...I think I'll soon be pinched and you'll tell me...u just exaggerated...
We all love him so much by now that it's aweful n ironic but we would end up defending him even in this...

But your posts are just so comferting that someday,I'll feel these little joys, joys that I don't realize and understand well today. Or when I read about them,i smile..and feel happy about it and for you.
But it just intrigues me how I will feel when I'm in the same stage someday.
And well, what can I say? Thanks for these posts that make me smile and pray for the cute and caring love you and G dada share.
God bless you both :)
Love.
